Baker Lake Education and Recreation Funding


KIA is pleased to announce the Baker Lake Education and Recreation fund

The Education and Recreation Activities for Youth Fund was established under the terms and conditions of the Canadian Heritage Rivers Inuit Impact Benefits Agreement (IIBA) signed on July 9, 2019 by Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated, Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and the Government of Nunavut.

With respect to the Sarvaqtuuq (Kazan) and the Akillinik (Thelon) Heritage Rivers, the Kivalliq Inuit Association provides grant contributions to individuals and groups that are working to build educational and recreational activities for youth.

Please note that this funding is available for RESIDENTS OF BAKER LAKE.
