Please note: The KIA Post-Secondary Completion Awards are now open to those students who were enrolled in post-secondary studies as outlined in the table below and had a completion date in their studies starting from the calendar year 2019 to now is eligible to apply
The completion amount offered to a successful student is equal to the level of education achieved and is based on the following schedule:

| Certificate | $500 | One-time award |
| Diploma | $1,000 | If you received $500 for certificate, you’ll get $500 more, maximum $1,000 |
| Degree | $2,000 | Up to $2,000 total; adjusted if diploma already received |
| Master’s | $2,500 | Up to $2,500 total |
| Ph.D | $3,500 | Up to $3,500 total |
Example: Undergraduate Degree Awards
Students completing an undergraduate degree (e.g., B.A., B.Sc., B.S.W) can apply for:
- Up to a maximum of $2,000
- If they previously received a diploma award ($1,000), they can still receive $1,000 for the degree to total $2,000
Example: You completed a 4-year Bachelor of Social Work; You previously received $1,000 for your diploma; You’ll receive $1,000 to reach the $2,000 maximum
Application Process
Completion awards can be made within 6 months of graduation, providing the documents accompany the application (Proof of completion: official transcripts, certificate/diploma) and a copy of your NTI card.
Appeals
Individuals dissatisfied with a decision made by the review committee may appeal within thirty (30) days of when their application was reviewed. The decision from the review committee and management is final.
Rights of KIA
KIA reserves the right to change the Terms of Reference and limits the scholarship and completion awards as they see fit. Funding is subject to availability on any given year.
